'End of the Year Wrap-up' 2000

...in the blink of an eye, another year went by... An exciting year with new artistic inputs and unexpected opportunities.

I started the year in Manila focusing on figurative works and developing a series of nudes. In February, I had a great exhibition at the Le Souffle at the Fort, Manila, titled Bodies and Faces, showing about 20 thematic works created in 1999/2000.

Early Spring, I went on for a short stay in Hong Kong to experience an atmosphere of energy and vitality— this city just never stops and I found it highly stimulating.

Beginning July, I returned to Europe to stay at the 'place of my roots' until Mid-November. It was an extremely productive time accumulating in a five-artists-exhibition at the WUK, Cultural Center in Vienna, Austria, titled Ways to Sensuality.

Now by the end of the year I am back in sunny California where I will stay until the Spring of 2001.

So far, scheduled for 2001 are a solo exhibition at the Montblanc Gallery, Fringe Club, Hong Kong, in May, and a group exhibition in Cairo, Egypt, in December.

Reflecting upon 2000, I found that this year's greatest enrichment on a professional and personal base was to have met other artists.. The discussion of various artistic styles, views, and philosophies made me develop a fulfilling and complex creativity. Therefore, be prepared to conceive new and innovative approaches in my latest works!

As always, Greater Art is yet to come...
